Ile-de-France Europe Days, 4-5-6 November in Brussels
The session "Towards an innovative and sustainable mobility" will take place on November 5th from 14.00 to 18.00.
The session on Mobility will be moderated by Karen Vancluysen, Polis Executive Director. The first presentation from Sophie Mougard, CEO of STIF (Île-de-France Transport Authority) will look at the role of public transport to boost green growth in the region; followed by an insight from DG MOVE on how the European Commission can support local and regional authorities in the framework of the European program “Horizon 2020”. To conclude with, Christine Revault d'Allonnes-Bonnefoy, Member of the Commission on Transports and Tourism - European Parliament on what steps shall be taken to reduce Europe's dependency on oil to fuel its transport network.
Marne-la-Vallée will showcase its alternative approach to promote urban mobility, highlighting energy and environmental efficiencies performed in the framework of its projects. The European-funded project MOLECULES focusing on the deployment of electric vehicles at three major pilots in Europe will present its latest developmets in the Grand Paris area, notably the integration of electro-mobility services in a multi-modal transport network.
All events will take place at the Île-de-France Europe premises in rue Montoyer 10, 1000 Brussels.
