EPTA - Enhancing Public Transport Authorities in Europe, releases its 2nd newsletter

EPTA will identify a model for Public Transport Authorities as powerful tool for governance. As a strategy, the use of three leverages: Quality, Efficiency and Efficacy will be applied to the 7 key functions related to public transport sector governance: Regulate, Plan, Tender/Award, Integrate, Promote, Manage, Control.

The next project’s workshop and training will take place in Almada, Portugal on 12-13 March and will discuss transport service tendering and European and national legal framework for awarding and tendering in public transport, among others. Giorgio Ambrosino from MemEx srl, Italy prepares the participants with an analysis on how to use ITS in public transport in a ‘smart way’, which you can read in the 2nd newsletter.
