CoCities workshop on multimodal information

CoCities implements multimodal interfaces in a city or region utilising the CoCities Common Access Interface – the CAI – which provides available data and information in standardised formats (e.g. DATEX II) utilising state of the art common web technologies for access. The CAI not only enables a city to publish its data in an easy and cost efficient way, it also provides means to receive user feedback which enables countless possibilities, from reporting broken street lights to commenting on a specific information service, if used carefully.

Cities like Vienna, Bilbao, Florence (including the whole region), Treviso and Reading have already joined the Co-Cities Forum, the platform for all Co-Cities users.

The workshop will be held on 26th of March on the Intertraffic Amsterdam starting at 1:00 o´clock pm. and ending at 4:30 o´clock pm.

Central and core goal of the workshop is to discuss a pragmatic approach how to – organisationally and technically (with the latter mostly being the minor issue of the two) – implement multimodal information services under the different ancillary conditions in Europe. Also discussed will be the targeted utilisation of user feedback and how to motivate users to participate, how to integrate cooperative systems.
