CIVITAS Activity Fund opens its second call - deadline 31 October
CIVITAS CAPITAL is supporting the take-up of sustainable urban mobility measures through an Activity Fund, offering co-funding of up to 50 per cent for urban mobility projects.
This co-financing mechanism will encourage the transfer of successful measures from ‘pioneer’ cities to ‘take-up’ cities. Co-funding will be made available via four competitive calls between 2014 and 2015. A sum of €80,000 is available in this second call, which runs from 19 September to 31 October 2014.
To be eligible, the projects must focus on one of four CIVITAS focal areas: collective passenger transport, mobility management, less car-intensive lifestyles, and public participation. More detailed information on the focal areas, the types of partners and activities that can be involved, and eligibility criteria for applications can be found in the call’s terms of reference document.
Applicants must be established in an EU member state or Albania, Iceland, Israel, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland or Turkey. Successful applicants will be notified within seven weeks of submission and will then be invited to negotiate. Around three to five projects are expected to be co-funded per take-up level. The take up levels are: ‘Being inspired’ (€5,000), ‘Structural dialogue’ (€5,000), ‘Studies’ (€7,500), and ‘Systematic transfer’ (€10,000). Applications should be submitted by 31 October 2014 using the online form.
