Car-free mobility the focus of upcoming CIVITAS workshop

The workshop will particularly be looking at car-pooling and sharing, and public bicycle schemes. Effective mobility management, including planning, marketing and conducting public consultations, is also on the agenda.

Taking place on 16 April 2013 within the 7th European Sustainable Cities and Towns Conference, Geneva (Switzerland), examples from pioneering CIVITAS cities will be showcased, with the cities themselves presenting their achievements. Ways in which participants can replicate these measures in their own city contexts will also be made apparent.

The workshops will be an interactive mix of presentations and discussions, with participants encouraged to ask questions and engage with speakers. The workshop is free of charge but places are limited. Registration is available here: http://www.civitas.eu/registration_login.phtml?event_id=512
