C-ITS and cities workshop

The first session was devoted to urban C-ITS deployment initiatives and considerations from around Europe, with presentations on the CIMEC project urban C-ITS roadmap, on deployment discussions among German cities and the Talking Traffic programme in the Netherlands.

The following session provided insight to the C-ITS deployment activities beyond cities and regions, with presentations from the Austrian EcoAT motorway project, and from the view point of the vehicle manufacturers and their plans to deploy. The role of C-ITS as an enabling technology for automated vehicles was also shown.

The hybrid communication concept was explained and the final presentation about the possible continuation of the City Pool within the C-Mobile project was shown.
