Smart City Expo World Congress 2021

Held in Barcelona since 2011, Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) is the international leading event for cities. Through promoting social innovation, establishing partnerships and identifying business opportunities, the event is dedicated to creating a better future for cities and their citizens. POLIS is proud to be a partner of the event.

Over the years, SCEWC has grown into much more than a three-day event. By creating and nurturing an international innovation community, sparking cross-sectoral conversations, forging and fostering partnerships, and building a platform to share knowledge, the we’ve developed a groundbreaking model of advocacy for a better urban world. And we plan to keep on doing so.

For the first time this year, to celebrate the 10th anniversary, SCEWC will be a hybrid experience, with the physical event coming back to Barcelona and a parallel digital program broadcast by Tomorrow.City.

Over 25,000 professional visitors attended in 2019, with over 1,000 exhibitors, along with high level representatives from more than 700 cities and over 400 international speakers that shared their experience and vision on how to build a more sustainable and livable urban future.

This year’s event will blend the physical venue with the digital space, allowing us to reach a wider audience while giving everybody the opportunity to experience the event in full. The lessons learned from 2020 will contribute to creating an enhanced hybrid, cross-platform experience offering endless opportunities.
