Gelderland sets out measures to support logistics industry

The COVID-19 outbreak is having major impacts on logistics entrepreneurs, both positively and negatively. In response, the Dutch province of Gelderland is collaborating with and bringing together transport and logistics companies.

Logistics Valley, a triple helix organization and partner for the Province of Gelderland, has started a website to help the logistics sector throughout this time (website in Dutch).

Logistic companies and entrepreneurs can use the information on the website free of charge. The website aims to:

  1. Bring together the supply and demand of people and resources in our regions
  2. Provide relevant information about all measures for logistics from the various authorities and interest groups
  3. Provide a firm commitment from the province of Gelderland to obtain support measures that entrepreneurs in Logistics Valley need at this challenging time
  4. Guiding entrepreneurs in finding solutions to their issues and connecting them with the right parties that are needed for the best possible continuation of their company

Logistics Valley is an initiative of the Province of Gelderland and consists of three logistic hotspots: Rivierenland, Liemers Achterhoek and Nijmegen. Municipalities, education and knowledge centers such as the University of Applied Sciences Arnhem and Nijmegen (HAN) and other universities and the East Netherlands Development Agency (Oost NL) are affiliated with Logistics Valley as well as dozens of transport and logistics companies.

You can find out more at the Logistics Valley website (in Dutch).
