Andréia Lopes Azevedo
Andréia joined POLIS in October 2021.
She leads the Active Travel & Health Working Group.
With a background in Architecture and Urban Planning, she has a Masters in Management of Urban Plans and Projects from São Paulo, Brazil, and Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design from Stuttgart, Germany. She also has training in Placemaking and Graphic Design.
She had extensive experience working on different mobility-related projects as an urban planner for the State of São Paulo Government. She was involved in feasibility studies and project management, where she interacted with several municipalities, institutions and NGOs. While in Germany, she worked on EU Horizon 2020 projects at the research institute Fraunhofer IAO in Stuttgart, focusing on smart and sustainable cities and mobility.
