Video clip on the European Green Capital 2011

With the award, the European Commission acknowledges efforts to environmental improvement in urban areas since 2006. The city of Hamburg, has worked hard in the past years to become a leader in the field of sustainable local transport development. Main measures acknowledged with the award include the city’s high-quality railway network and its implementation of a non-motorised transport circulation network across the city centre and suburbs.
