TIDE project kicks off: urban transport innovation on its way!
TIDE activities in 5 clusters
The mission of the TIDE project is to enhance the broad transfer and take-up of 15 innovative urban transport and mobility measures throughout Europe and to make a visible contribution to establish them as mainstream measures.
TIDE will focus on 15 innovative measures in five thematic clusters: financing models and pricing measures (1), non-motorised transport (2), network and traffic management to support traveller information (3), electric vehicles (4) and public transport organisation (5). Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans will be a horizontal topic to integrate the cluster activities.
TIDE city involvement
TIDE will actively support 15 committed cities in developing implementation scenarios. They will demonstrate how to successfully prepare implementation of innovative solutions and provide examples to a wider group of cities. The TIDE consortium includes 5 partner cities, each dedicated to a thematic cluster: Milan (1), Donostia San Sebastian (2), Reading Borough Council (3), Rotterdam (4) and BKK Budapest (5). 10 additional countries will be selected on the basis of an open call for TIDE Champion Cities.
TIDE will launch its activities in Perugia on 28 November with a workshop to select and finetune the innovative concepts that will be discussed within the TIDE project. The workshop will also provide information with regards to the €200.000 call for Champion Cities. (More information and registration form are available here).
