Register now for courses to improve capacity in cycling

Not all learning needs to be done in the fieldThe PRESTO project is about competence building in cycling policies.

PRESTO will hold an onsite training in Bremen, Germany: "What can a cycling champion city do to climb even higher?". The training will include a site visit by bike, and discussion on bicycle counters, promotional measures and improving the quality of the cycling network.

The training is open to local politicians and decision makers; urban and transport planners; police representatives; media representatives; local authority representatives; NGOs and others.

Registration for the 7 free PRESTO e-learning courses is still open. The timetable and the topics of the courses are given below.

12 Sep - 10 Oct 2011, 3 courses are running:

  • Intersections & Roundabouts (maximum number participants reached. Reserve list only)
  • Bike to Work Campaigns  (maximum number participants reached. Reserve list only)
  • Pedal Assisted Electric Bikes (pedelecs) in your community

10 Oct - 14 Nov 2011, 3 courses are running:

  • Infrastructure for Starter Cities (maximum number participants reached. Reserve list only)
  • Bike to School Campaigns
  • Pedelecs in your community

 14 Nov - 12 Dec 2011, 3 courses are running:

  • Bicycle Parking
  • Bicycle Maps
  • Pedelecs in your community
