New internet portal on sustainable urban mobility plans (SUMP)

Sustainable urban mobility planning is a way of tackling transport-related problems in urban areas more efficiently. SUMP aims to contribute to sustainable urban mobility as policies and measures defined through sustainable urban mobility planning should address all modes and forms of transport: public and private, passenger and freight, motorized and non-motorized, moving and parking. SUMP is a part of the ELTIS Initiative, which also runs www.eltis.org. The project is financed under the Intelligent Energy - Europe (IEE) Programme and managed by the Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (EACI).
