Ministry for Transport in Italy announces 200 millions co-funding for local authorities and metropolitan areas

Particularly, the "Priority Settlement Planning Fund" sets aside 110 millions for different types of priority interventions, including Sustainable urban mobility plans (SUMPS) and construction works in port cities.

This co-funding scheme is spread over a 3-year period from 2018 to 2020, with over 25 million for 2018; 35 million for 2019 and 50 million for 2020.

The resources allocated shall be used primarily for the preparation of Metropolitan Strategic Plans and Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs). Public bodies  who have already drafted their Plans shall use these co-funding for Feasibility Projects or Project Review.
