IRF Environment Study Day on Green Public Procurement
The concept of Green Public Procurement has been widely recognised in recent years as a useful tool for driving the market for greener products and services and reducing the environmental impacts of public authorities’ activities.
The study day will be the occasion to learn from experiences world-wide and to identify and discuss effective ways of addressing this issue. Questions addressed include:
- Is public procurement a valid means to spur innovation and sustainability? How?
- How are targets set?
- What kind of environmental criteria should be integrated and at what stage of the procurement process?
- What is hindering green technology deployment in our sector? Can GPP help in this respect?
There is no registration fee but places are limited. Registration will be done on first come first served basis. If you wish to present your experience on GPP or green technology, please contact Susanna Zammataro.
