Conference on Budapest’s city branding
In cooperation with leading politicians and officials the conference aimed to present Budapest’s new direction towards a self-aware, smart, sustainable and inclusive city.
Topics included the establishment of the Center for Budapest Transport (BKK), the integrated transport authority of Budapest which was established in 2010. The Transport Centre’s roles and responsibilities will cover public transport, cycling, road infrastructure management, city parking and taxi services and is modeled primarily on the basis of Transport for London. To find innovative approaches to finance public transport is also on the agenda as the current financial model is not perceived sustainable.
