Commission launches public consultation on Research, Innovation and Competitiveness Strategy
The Commission will collect the opinions of stakeholders and interested parties, including EU citizens and private and public organisations on the EU's transition to sustainable, competitive, energy-efficient and low-carbon economy. Transport as one of the main users of energy will be a vital element of the strategy. The planned strategy is an important EU follow-up of the COP21 Paris Agreement achieved on 12 December 2015 under the United Nations Framework Climate Change Convention, which gives a clear and ambitious direction for low carbon innovation.
