Editorial

Dear members,

This long InfoPolis demonstrates how autumn has brought busy agendas to Polis members and to the European transport community! We are pleased to see more than 20 presentations by Polis members in our Annual Conference programme, covering highly relevant topics such as transport planning, open data and behaviour change, to name just a few. In addition to technical sessions, we would also like to draw your attention to the impressive line-up of high-level speakers who wish to contribute to our highlight event of the year!

We urge you to register quickly and preferably this week, before all seats are taken! Up to three representatives per member can attend free of charge. Don’t forget to sign up as well for the Polis Annual General Assembly on 26 November, which will include a Horizon 2020 information and brokerage session.

A lot is going on within the European Institutions as well. Since the European Parliament rejected Alenka Bratusek for the European Commission, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, proposed a reshuffle last night: Slovenia's substitute candidate Violeta Bulc gets the transport portfolio and will be audited by the European Parliament next week. Read more about the new candidate in this InfoPolis.

Finally, I wish to remind you to log in to the Polis website to be able to access all articles of this members newsletter. Contact us if you do not know or remember your login details.

I wish you a pleasant read!

Yours sincerely,
Karen Vancluysen
Executive Director
