Dear members,

after summer break InfoPolis is back to look into upcoming highlights of this Autumn, which comes along with a number of excellent networking and learning opportunities. September kicks off with 2 Polis Working Group meetings on parking and on health&transport featuring highly knowledgeable speakers. Read more about the meetings and how to register in this InfoPolis.

4-5 December will see the year's highlight, the 2013 Annual Polis Conference in Brussels. The draft programme is available. Registration is free of charge for Polis members and should be done online before all seats are taken!

We would also remind you to always make sure to browse the Polis website while you are logged in as a Polis member! Contact us if you do not know your login details!

STRAIGHTSOL Demonstration Results Workshop/Exhibition

The results of seven innovative urban freight demostrations will be presented on September 24th in Amsterdam. These include an urban consolidation centre, a city logistics mobile depot, night time distribution, loading and unloading operations and ITS services for last mile solutions.

New methodology for quality monitoring of public transport

The IEE co-funded ENERQI project has come to an end and delivered an online tool for quality monitoring. An article in the magazine 'Eurotransport' describes for whom this new methodology is suitable.

New city bikes in Copenhagen

When Copenhagen in 2012 said goodbye to their 17 years-old faithful city bikes, it was time for a radical change of the system. On August 16th a new pilot scheme was launched with 15 modern bikes growing up to 1,200 in the autumn and eventually, the system can be expanded to more than 3,000 bikes.

Opening for the EcoMobility World Festival 2013 (1-30 September), the EcoMobility congress (1-4 September) enables international actors, united through mutual interest in sustainable transportation, to come together. Polis is an endorsing partner of the festival and the congress.
