Dear Members,

Before embarking on a short InfoPolis summer break, we’d like to highlight some after holiday events to look forward to. On behalf of CIVITAS CAPITAL, Polis will organise a workshop on Air Quality and Clean Vehicles Procurement in European Cities. The workshop is scheduled for 12 and 13 of September in Paris. Within the framework of our newly established Polis Parking Working Group, EPA and Polis organise a workshop as part of a cluster of parking events in Krakow on 15 and 16 September 2016. Also make sure not to miss out on the next meeting of the Polis working group on Bike Sharing Schemes, taking place on 12-13 October 2016 and kindly hosted by the city of Paris. Registrations for these meetings are open now and further details are included in this newsletter.

We are proud of our member Nijmegen, which has just won the right to call itself Green Capital of Europe in 2018! Polis city Bristol also had a memorable year as European Green Capital in 2015, and they have recently published the Citywide Review of that year, which you can find at https://www.bristol2015.co.uk/citywide-review. These are important recognitions of our members’ efforts in being Europe’s forerunners in the field of sustainability and innovation!

Further opportunities to get involved in innovation activities present themselves in the upcoming Horizon 2020 calls, so make sure to keep an eye on the partner searches we’ll be circulating and keep us informed on your particular areas of interest!

Please login to the Polis website as a member to access all information addressed to Polis members only (green headlines). If you do not remember your login details, don’t hesitate to contact us.

In the meantime, don’t forget to take some well-deserved time off and enjoy the holiday period!

Kind regards,

Karen Vancluysen
