Editorial

Dear members,

Over the past two weeks Polis has been very active and visible at two major European events – the ITS European Congress in Glasgow and the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) in Brussels.

EPA and Polis organised a Special Interest Session: 'Parking in a digital era' at the ITS Europe Congress. The Polis Traffic Efficiency & Mobility Working Group met on 7 June, alongside the ITS European Congress. The meeting, hosted by Polis member Glasgow, focused on automation and concluded with a very concrete outcome, i.e. for the WG to come up with a statement about automation by the end of this year. At the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), 14-16 June, in Brussels, Polis moderated two sessions and informed participants about electromobility and new mobility services in Europe at the Networking Village.

In addition, Polis is becoming more active in its international activities. We have been invited to join the Decarbonising Transport project launched by the International Transport Forum’s Secretary General.

Worth mentioning also is the EU wide campaign that Polis recently initiated with the support of several other EU transport organisations in order to sensitize EU officials to the opportunities offered by investing in the transport sector.

As usual, InfoPolis also informs you about interesting outcomes from Polis and Polis’ members work in projects, upcoming calls for funding, calls for papers and awards.

Please login to the Polis website as a member to access all information addressed to Polis members only (green headline). If you do not know your login details, please contact us.

I wish you a pleasant read!

Secretary General
