A high modal share of cycling has benefits in terms of health, local air pollution, reduction of the transport contribution to climate change as well as safety, etc.
Local and regional authorities play an important role in helping to increase cycling modal share. Polis supports exchange on how best to achieve a higher modal share of cycling while offering a high level of safety and maintaining a balance with other modes of transport.
