ITF launches reports on Road Safety

22 October 2015

The ITF launched four reports concerning road safety. The reports address policy makers and are supposed to help choosing the most effective approaches in order to improve road safety in their specific contexts. They address similar targets like the one set by the UN to reduce the number of global deaths and injuries from road traffic accidents by 2020.

The 2015 Road Safety Annual Report provides the consistent, comparable road safety statistics and policy information across 38 countries, including the best-performing nations that achieve fewer than three road deaths per 100 000 inhabitants.

There are three other reports about Road Safety which provide more specific information:

-       Improving Safety for Motorcycle, Scooter and Moped Riders

-       Why does Road Safety Improve When Economic Times Are Hard?

-       Road Infrastructure Safety Management
