CityMove workshop: Towards clean, safe and sustainable city logistics
21 February 2012 Brussels, BelgiumA workshop for cities and regions on improving urban freight deliveries will take place at Polis in Brussels on the 21st of February. The workshop will aim at installing a dialogue around the development of new operations and vehicle technologies.
CITYMOVE aims at developing an innovative integrated vehicle solution fitting with the integrated city transport solution approach for a secure, flexible, reliable, clean, energy efficient and safe road transportation of goods across European cities, having also a significant impact on reduction of CO2 emissions and improvement in terms of safety and security.
The second user group workshop will take place in Brussels on the 21st February in Polis office. It will present innovative solutions develop within the CItyMove project related to:
- vehicle design for greater efficiency;
- greater safety of all users on the road with advanced urban freight vehicles and operations;
- more energy efficienct vehicles and freight operations for greater energy efficiency and bettter environmental performances.
In the framework of this workshop, local authorities will be able to engage in a constructive dialogue with the industry and key stakeholders on future technologies and solutions for urban freight delivery. Participating local authorities may be eligible for the reimbursement of their travel expenses to attend this workshop, at certain conditions.
