This week, the first European Week of Sport is taking place to promote physical activity. The sports week goes hand-in-hand with the well-established European Mobility Week that promotes more sustainable transport including active travel modes from 16-22 September each year. Cities are still welcome and encouraged to register their activities for this year's week online!
Also the 2015 Polis Conference programme has taken shape with 17 technical sessions, 2 high-level plenary sessions, 3 site visits and various workshops prior to the conference. I am pleased to share with you that European Commissioner for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness, Jyrki Katainen, has confirmed his presence! The updated draft programme will be published tomorrow (keep your eyes open for a mailing from Polis). Don't miss your chance to join us at the conference and register online as soon as possible to secure your seats! The national Energy Globe Award France 2015 was awarded to Tisséo-SMTC for its mobility management in Toulouse. The award recognizes outstanding performance in terms of energy efficiency, renewable energy and resource conservation worldwide.
