Dear members,

More than 100 abstracts have been submitted for the 2012 Polis Conference, the highest number ever. We specifically appreciate the significant amount of contributions from Polis members! We will review them carefully during summer and keep you updated. Mae sure you saved the dates in your agenda: 28 November (afternoon) the Annual General Assembly (AGA) will take place, 29-30 November the Polis conference. Both events are hosted by the city of Perugia!

Partner search about greenways

Partner search in two open calls from DG Enterprise & Industry. The proposals about greenways to be presented by the European Greenways Association and Spanish Railways Foundation. Proposal #1: Development of the “greenways product”, deadline 4 July. Proposal #2: Greenways as cultural itineraries for sustainable tourism, deadline 6 July. Contact Florinda today!

BESTFACT goes from Amsterdam to Brussels

Policy Learning in Information Technologies for Public Transport Enhancement (POLITE) project kicked-off in Reggio Calabria (Italy)

The POLITE project will exchange best practices on infomobility in public transport. It will create tools to support policy-making which partners will use to develop local implementation plans outlining local roadmaps for policy development on public transport information systems.

The user network, Friends of Eltis, started in December 2010 and has quickly become very popular. After only three months 150 people had joined the network. Today, there are more than 1200 Eltis Friends. Eltis is Europe's number one portal on urban mobility.

Sustainable urban mobility: Commission campaign boosts support to fight congestion and pollution

The European Commission's Sustainable Urban Mobility campaign was launched today and represents a three-year initiative aiming to support sustainable urban mobility campaigners in 31 countries. Activities began today with the opening of a registration system to support outstanding actions for fostering positive change in attitudes and behaviour.
