Editorial

Dear members,

Over the last two days, Polis members met in Madrid to discuss the key challenges cities face when operating bike sharing schemes, with a particular focus this time on how to finance and promote such schemes, as well as how to include pedelecs. We will report in more detail in the next InfoPolis and express many thanks to our host city Madrid!

Today, the Polis-EPA parking working group is meeting in Brussels, while last week, the Polis Road Safety Working Group met in Paris in conjunction with a joint Polis - International Transport Forum workshop. Read more about these successful events in this issue!

Please make sure to be logged in as a member to the Polis website to also have access to events restricted to the membership. This is especially vital to access information on Working Group meetings. If you do not remember your login details, don’t hesitate to contact us.

We also hope to receive many abstracts from your side before 29 May to showcase your innovations at the 2017 Polis Conference!

For now I wish you a pleasant read.

Kind regards,
Karen Vancluysen
