Editorial

Dear members,

We are proud to send you this first issue of InfoPolis in its new format, a few days after the launch of our new website. These are parts of our efforts to strengthen our communication with you and to enable greater exchange of information towards our members on innovation in urban and regional transport.

The new Polis website aims at making more information available for you, more often and in a more organized way. You will in particular progressively be able to access our full database of documents and post documents on your profile. We aim at making this website a full part of our activities to facilitate the transfer of knowledge between yourselves and with our partners, to strengthen our network. It is a tool which we hope you will help us to further develop with your comments and inputs.

It should provide elements for the debate which has started on the role of innovation for a more sustainable mobility in the future, following the release of the White Paper on the European transport policy by the European Commission. Polis will take an active part in this debate. We will develop a policy position on the White Paper, which politicians representing Polis members will have the possibility to present Commissioner Kallas on the 28th of June afternoon.

Finally, we are happy to confirm that our Annual Conference will be organized with the European Economic and Social Committee and will take place on the 29th and 30th of November in Brussels. Book the dates now! More information on this event will be circulated soon.

Yours sincerely,
Sylvain
