Côtes d'Armor (FR)
Côtes-d'Armor is a county (département) in the region of Brittany whose main urban centre is Saint Brieuc. Côtes d’Armor has a population of around 580,000.
Côtes d'Armor General Council has been active in the development of Intelligent Transport Systems to support road safety and information and traffic management. In particular, an experimental platform, "La route du Futur" / "the Road of Future", has been created. Its ambition is to bring together local authorities, central government services, chambers of commerce, research organisations and high technology industries. Through Polis, the Côtes d'Armor General Council wishes to add a European dimension to its ITS programme and be part of future projects in the framework of European programmes.
